Equi-Taping® Certification Course Eligibility | Become a Certified Practitioner

Certification is open to the following professionals:

• Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVM):
  
  Must hold a doctorate in veterinary medicine. Proof of degree or license may be required.

• Doctors of Chiropractic – Animal or Equine:
  
  Must hold a doctorate in animal or equine chiropractic. Proof of degree or license may be required.

• Physical Therapists (Animal/Equine Rehabilitation):
  
  Must hold a degree, license, or certification in animal or equine rehabilitation therapy. Proof required.

• Licensed Equine Massage Therapists:
  
  Must hold a license or certification in equine massage therapy from a state board or recognized program. Proof of completion required.

• Veterinary Technicians:
  
  Must hold a degree or license as a veterinary technician. Proof required.

• Students:
  
  Veterinary, equine therapy, chiropractic, or massage therapy students may enroll but cannot take the certification exam until after graduation. Proof of enrollment required.

• Other Equine Healthcare Practitioners:
  
  Professionals offering equine healthcare services for compensation, with proven training and knowledge in equine anatomy and their field of practice. Proof of credentials and training required.

Equi-Tape® Certification is reserved for those with formal education and credentials in their field. Our goal is to maintain the gold standard in equine kinesiology taping—so when horse owners see our certification, they know they’re working with a truly qualified professional.

We recognize the diversity of professional backgrounds worldwide and thoughtfully consider a wide range of credentials. However, for fields like veterinary medicine and chiropractic care, we require evidence of formal, accredited education and do not accept informal or non-accredited training as a substitute.

Our standards are in place to protect horses, owners, and the reputation of our certified practitioners.
