- Clean the area thoroughly—remove all dirt, lotions, sprays, or grooming products.
- Use a shammy or microfiber cloth, rubbing with and against the hair lie to remove debris.
- Ensure the coat is completely dry before applying tape.
- For oily coats, a light alcohol rub or baby powder (then brush off loose powder) can help.
- Any residue affects tape adhesiveness.
Cutting & Handling the Tape
- Always cut round corners on tape ends to prevent peeling.
- Separate the paper backing by gently stretching the tape and tearing the paper.
- Avoid touching the adhesive once the paper is removed.
- Rub the tape after application to activate the adhesive.
